The Dadiangou gold system is located in the central part of China in southern Gansu Province and covers 15 square kilometres within the prolific Qinling Fold Belt. Under the current agreement, Jinshan owns 53% of the project and the remainder is held by the Northwest Industrial Nuclear Economic Technical Corp. (part of the Shaanxi Nuclear Geology Bureau of China).
Jinshan has completed 68 diamond drill holes (14,910 metres in total), surface trenching, and systematic resampling of underground workings testing the Dadiangou Main Zone. Based on this work, a mineralized shear zone has been defined with a strike length of approximately 4,000 metres and average widths of 50-60 metres in the central portions of the zone. Elsewhere on the property, grid soil sampling and geological mapping have identified additional anomalies.
In December 2008, Jinshan announced an updated resource estimate for the Dadiangou Main Zone based on all work completed to date.
